[Yash]Ask yourself how that Japanese guy could ramble on about the digits of
pi for 18 hours.

[Mermaid]hmm...about that...

<snip>

TOKYO (Reuter) - A Japanese student has recited pi, the ratio of the
circumference of a circle to its diameter, to 42,194 decimal places, setting
a world record. Hiroyuki Goto, 21, of Keio University in Tokyo, performed
the feat on Feb. 18 over nine hours, 21 minutes and 30 seconds, including
breaks totalling one hour, 26 minutes and 47 seconds,
the Daily Yomiuri reported Saturday

The previous record was 40,000 figures, also set by a Japanese, Hideaki
Tomoyori, in 1987 over 17 hours, 21 minutes.Goto made an unsuccessful
attempt at the record in June last year, but managed only around 17,000
figures.

[Mermaid]The above is also really really old news. Circa 1995. I dont know
about the most recent record.
