Have you seen the movie "Cube?" Some people wake up to find
themselves in a cubic structure (cubic rooms forming a large cube),
set with traps. All the people find each other in the beginning, and
then they go looking for a way out. There's a doctor, a math
student, a military person, a thief, &c. There are sets of three
numbers at the entrance to each cubic room (there are doors on all
the faces, usually), and the math student figures out what the
codes mean and which rooms are safe.
Plus she's cute. It's worth seeing.

We know that writing the natural numbers in a Square will give you the
Square numbers at the corner. It's the same with a Cube and Cubic numbers.
It's probably the kind of thing that would bring out a pattern if there's
one.
