What would I call this "thing" I've been in for 28 years?
This "thing" that will make me a grandfather any day now?
This "thing" that has given me so much love and joy, with a very, very slight
pinch of heartache on occasion.
This "thing" which I can't imagine existence without.
What would I call "that"?
