It's not a can of worms if we approach it all respectfully and with open
minds.
It's also a belief system with rules. But there are axioms and not all
statements can be proven to be true (see my post with the extract about
Gödel's Theorem).
That doesn't mean it doesn't work.

Scientific method is not just a belief, it's something thats proveable and
repeatable in experiments. Is it a fact that technology has improved our
lives or is it just a belief? I'll leave it at that for now
