Hi all,
I have been reading this list for the last couple of months and would like
to thank you all for providing me with such a wide range of intellegent
fodder with which to expand my conciousness. A sycophantic special mention
must go to Hermit - thank you, you have been an inspiration.
I hate to do this in my first post but I just cant pass up the opportunity
to piss on a pedant:
Kirk - your links below are three months old. Zphobic was referring to a
[i]/recent[i] development about a (possibility of a) request for 25 000
troops from the UK. Quite a significant development that is certainly
newsworthy, considering its a signal to an event that is going to have very
serious ramifications for all concerned. Much more serious than the shipping
of a few more army officers to a region that at the time was getting
slightly warmer. If this has not been reported in mainstream american media,
I would also wonder why. (Although, it has taken the aussie press two days
to get the story out, but things do sometimes take a bit longer to reach
this part of the world.) Got any recent proof that this is being told to the
american public?
Regards,
n0rt
