If Saint Popper were to read our list he would be appalled. His methods were
the direct opposite of those used here by most of the debaters (including
myself):
As Bryan Magee - quoted in Wittegenstein's Poker - points out: "Rather than
score through identifying minor faults, Popper would carefully strengthen
his opponenets case before demolishing its core point."

That sounds good. I think I have tried to strengthen the opponents' case on several occasions here, even in this discussion, although I don't think I managed to demolish anyone's core point, probably because of the non-Popperian nature of those core points.

There are Israelis who have sold weapons to Palestinians. Given that collaboration is the act of cooperating treasonably with an enemy, there are of course Israeli collaborators. But the broader point is that the Palestinians operate summary justice and hang the victims from streetlights, whereas Israel does not even have the death penalty!

I already tried to discuss the issue of Israelis selling weapons to Palestinians with Joe, trying to have this integrated into the picture. My points were
(1) the rarity of this kind of incidents (finding information on the Web and especially in mainstram media was not easy at all) makes this a police-report level effect rather than a social effect
(2) the Israeli people, undoubtedly enraged by this kind of behavior, because they are in a deadly conflict with the Palestinians, do not need to try to lynch these people because they know that law will handle them, and
(3) Palestinian people are also enraged by the collaborators (of the Godfather kind, drawing their power from Israel) for the same reasons, but they have no expectation from the law, because being a collaborator is not only legal but there are also special legal provisions to protect them, so it becomes more likely that they will look upon paramilitary groups, who will happily recruit them.
Unfortunately, I soon lost interest in that discussion because of some repetitive patterns I encountered. Although I have my fixations too, I do my best not to use them as arguments in just any context.

I won't make any speculations about what kinds of solutions can be suggested as a result of logical thinking by analogy rather than informed thinking.
[Jonathan 2]
Good. Leave that to me.
Did you read the rest of the post by the way? Looks like you got hung up on
the first line.
[rhinoceros 3]
I did; the last line included.
