Shades of the Taliban! Whatever next? Are vibrators to be considered an
"electronic game"? Is their use in public places now banned? And what of
that staple of civilization; the TV Game-show? Not to mention broadcasts
of sporting events. Gone, all gone.

No big deal. Legacy vibrators -- without special software -- will probably be ok. And the overreaching arm of law is part of our modern culture. It just makes it more likely for government employees to empathise with the common people, sometimes aided by some cash. On the other hand, it helps us remember that law is only a human creation.
