I heard the same arguments from Hermit before; how the Afghanis
viscerally hated us and would fight us on Kipling's plains to the last
man, woman and child. Yet, when they were released from the
bondage of the Taliban, they danced in the streets and welcomed us
with open arms.
And do you not think that if the Taliban was too take over the US that you wouldn't see some people dancing in the streets? What you are fed on TV about what is going on is there to let you know just how much "good" we're doing, and just how "bad" they are. If the Taliban was reporting on us after capturing us, what do you think they'd show their viewers? A picture of some upset, and saddened people? Or the image of people cheering/dancing out in the streets? Think about it.
Of course I know that there is no way this hypothetical situation would most likely never happen. Very most likely never happen. But it's something to think about. And I do beleive you have a lot of thinking to do, considering you seem to beleive everything our government and media feeds you.
