OK, nowhere have I seen it said that the role of the CoV is to decide which
memes are "good" and which are "bad". Who gets to decide what's a
"delusional" meme?
The thing is, when it comes down to a fundamental disagreement based on
rational thought from all sides, there isn't really a way of deciding what's
a rational meme and what's an irrational meme. If either side were
completely irrational, there wouldn't be this whole indecision about what to
do with Iraq. It's not black and white, and why should we sacrifice this
list trying to force it to be one way or another? Can't we just document
and analyze the two memes in opposition and see which one is better evolved
through the outcome? Isn't that what we have to do? (...while holding our
own private conclusions, as we must.) Why does this list have to pick one?
And, since this whole fest seems to be nothing more than Hermit vs. Joe, of
course my point/question applies to both "sides".
