Yes: he panders to the anti-american sentiments of several people on
this list, and he has been ceded BBS control by you.

As far as I can see, Hermit's "power on the list" stems from his
incisive intellect and wide erudition. Also his willingness to make time
to converse with, (and enlighten), minnows like me is very winning.
I am not aware of any anti-Americanism on the list. Certainly there are
critics of her foreign policy. Not the same thing as anti-Americanism
even if Joe does considers his opinions to be the alpha and omega of all
that is truly American.
We used to have the same logic applied to us in the old unlamented South
Africa: if you didn't support the government you were a communist. End
of story, no shades of grey at all.
Show me a philosopher who has no doubts about his position and I will
show you a man who has stopped thinking.
Joe, are you determined to fight with someone? Things were starting to
get all nice and peaceful.....
