    How can one gain access to these sections. I've not seen them linked on the CoV BBS front page; only within the Statistics Center. Care to share the password?

    The "Nasty Business" board is the piece of art formerly known as "Serious Business". It belongs to a section called "The Cathedral", where I can go and marvel only when I am logged in the BBS. "The Pit" also belongs there. I think there are some access restrictions because that section has been marked as X-Rated for the sake of the innocent websurfers, but I don't remember what exactly these restrictions are (number of posts? reputation?).

    I don't know what the "Hierarch" board is. Maybe a leftover from a past experiment. If its ID number (28) means anything, it must be more than 1 year old.
