....i would guess that the reason that "intellectuals and artists" make such
pleasant additions to society is BECAUSE they received a relatively high
degree of parental focus, attention, nurturing etc.
...this is not something easily done when one has many children. in
addition, to effectively change things via this route, these people would
have to have twice as many children for a sustained amount of time to even
come close to making up 10% of the population. so it's pretty much an
impossible solution to anything.

I don't think you can force anyomne to take care of you kids, BTW. Beg
maybe, but not force. The nature of “caring and nurturing” issuch that
forced caring would be an oxymoron.
And, I think more intellectuals and artists should be having kids and
investing in global education... instead of complaining that “uneducated
people have too many”
