[Joe Dees] Three quarters of the public do not feel as the last cartoon depicts, and instead feel that Bush has indeed made his case against Saddam.
[Joe Dees] Three quarters of the people, in this case, accurately judge that the case has been made.
[Hermit] Note how Joe insinuates "acurately" here. One wonders how he could possibly support this when so many credible sources do not.
[Hermit] Poor Joe Dees... again his assertions fail in the face of facts... as he simply rejected the last reference on the grounds of its source, something he has frequently characterised as invalid and indicative of meme-infestation, here is another - this time from a rightwing slanted, but previously endorsed by Joe Dees, source.
[Gallup] Now, most polls show that support levels have returned to their pre-Sept. 11 levels; that is, still reflecting majority support [Hermit: 50-64%], but lower than in the immediate aftermath of the terrorist attacks.

Do you think it is necessary for the Bush administration to get a resolution of support from the United Nations before it attacks Iraq, or not? Yes: 68%-69%
This does not mean bludgeoning the UN into becoming a rubber stamp for US imperialism.
Do you think the Bush administration has – or has not -- done enough to explain to the American public why the U.S. might take military action to remove Saddam Hussein from power? No, has not, 58%
[Hermit] One wonders how, if it hasn't been explained well enough to the US public, they can make informed decisions? Worth noting that the percentage who don't think that it has been explained very well and the percentage that think we should go to war are astonishingly similar. Do you think these people are like Joe Dees? Being told what to think by CNN/Times/Newsweek and the other usual bigoted sources?
