Of course inanimate nature knows no evil. Shit just happens. Man and society have come up with the ever-changing notions of good an evil, for a good reason I assume, since they have been using these concepts so persistently.
So, there is nothing intrinsically evil in what you described, but "inhumane"... is a different matter. I wonder if the "less extremist/nutcase" American public would tolerate any of this on their own people.
I think that you "stop listening to what captured enemy declare as 'inhumane'" either at the point where you cannot aford the enemy's reaction or (in the case of a "crusade of the good") at the point where your actions run counter to what you stand for (in case you really care).

....regardless, this sort of thing cant be done.(unfortunately). for the simple reason that it will motivate their forces to do the same with captured u.s. soldiers. i still feel that various truth drugs be open to
administration with suitable medical staff on hand - as these can be very productive and provide a substitute approach to information gathering.

I assume they have thrown-in whatever drugs they have, but I may be wrong. I can't say I wish them good luck, but I wish them a quick return home. I am all for the now obsolete notion of civil rights and I would support that by any means available to me.
